So, he is the God of the living, not the dead.  You have made a serious error.  

Once, we were dead in our sins.  We didn’t know God because He is the God of the living.  But all praise to God for Jesus came to bring us life and life more abundantly.  We who have trusted in Jesus as our Saviour not only get to know God but have been given the right to call him Abba Father.
