Genesis 3:8
“And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day…”
From the very beginning, God’s desire has always been the same—His presence with His people.
In the garden, Adam wasn’t created just to live… he was created to walk with God. When God showed up, He expected Adam to be there. That tells us something powerful: presence wasn’t optional—it was the foundation.
And that hasn’t changed.
Many times we reduce Christianity down to going to church, doing good, or even just making it to heaven. But the truth is, the whole reason Jesus came was to restore what was lost in the garden—relationship and presence.
God didn’t save you just so you could go to heaven someday.
He saved you so you could walk with Him today.
His presence isn’t a bonus—it’s the point.
If we miss that, we can do all the “right” things and still feel empty. But when His presence becomes the priority, everything else starts to make sense.
