Matthew 7:24–25 NKJV
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock…”
Jesus never promised that storms wouldn't come.
In fact, in this passage, both houses faced the storm.
The difference wasn't the weather.
The difference was the foundation.
Jesus said the person who hears His words and does them is like someone who builds on rock.
That means our foundation isn't built only by knowing Scripture. It is strengthened as we believe God's Word, obey God's Word, and build our lives according to God's Word.
Storms reveal foundations.
When pressure comes, what are you standing on?
Feelings change.
Circumstances change.
People change.
Culture changes.
God's Word does not.
So keep building.
Keep praying.
Keep studying.
Keep obeying.
Keep believing.
Keep standing on the Word.
You may not be able to control the storm, but you can decide what you're building your life upon.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Ask yourself: What am I building my life on?
Choose one area where you've been led by feelings, fear, circumstances, or other people's opinions, and intentionally bring that area back under the authority of God's Word.
PRAYER:
Father, I want my life built on a foundation that will stand. Teach me Your Word and help me obey what You show me. When circumstances change or storms come, remind me that Your Word remains true. I choose to build my life on You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
