Love Fuels Your Light

1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

What is it that actually fuels your light?

It’s His love.

God is love. Not He has love, not He reflects love, not He has instances of love. God is love. His very being is love itself.

When you love someone, there’s nothing you won’t do for them. God demonstrated His love for us when He sent His Son to do what we could never do for ourselves.

That’s the heart behind the gospel message. It’s love.

And that same love has to be the driving force behind everything we do.

Every single empty chair represents someone He wants at His table. While He loves every single one of us more than we can imagine, His heart is still broken for the ones who don’t know just how much He loves them.

Why do we reach people? Love. Why do we serve people? Love. Why do we share the gospel? Love.

When you allow His love to be the oil of your light, that light will never go out. It cannot be quenched.

Here’s a challenge for you today:
Ask the Lord to show you the motive behind what you are doing. Is love driving it? Ask Him to fill you again with His love for the people around you and let that love fuel your light.
