John 8:31–32 NKJV Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

You can believe in a moment, but if you don’t remain faithful, if you don’t continue, it becomes just one moment.

We must, as disciples, continue. The ability to stay free is you have to continue in what you were freed from. You can’t take one bite, leave, and expect to get the nourishment of the whole meal. You can’t take one word out of Scripture and chew on it for a moment and expect for the whole revelation and the fulfillment of it to come to pass in your life. You have to be willing to stay in the place that God has you. You have to be willing to continue in it. Just because it’s hard to stand there, just because there’s persecution for standing there, I’m not moving away from my freedom.

If your thinking doesn’t come in line with where your freedom is, your thinking will pull you out of your freedom back into bondage.

Here’s a challenge for you today: Ask yourself where you have stopped continuing in something God already showed you. Get back in the Word, get back in the truth, and make the decision: I’m not moving away from my freedom.
