Luke 11:1 NKJV

“Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

Every discipline has a starting point, and it increases by doing it.

Prayer is the same way.

The disciples asked Jesus, “Lord, teach us to pray.” They understood that prayer could be learned and strengthened. You do not have to wait until you feel like you know exactly what to say.

Never hold back praying because you feel like you don’t know how to pray.

There are times when we carry things in ignorance that God never asked us to carry. We get tired, frustrated, and burdened down, while the Lord is simply waiting for us to come to Him.

Come to Him with the burden. Come to Him with the heaviness. Come to Him with the question. Be real with God.

He is not asking you to have everything figured out before you come. He wants relationship with you.

The hardest step in every discipline is the first one. So take the first step.

Here’s a challenge for you today:

Whatever you have been carrying, take it to God today. Don’t wait until you have the right words. Start the conversation and let Him meet you there.
