Romans 5:1-2 NLT
Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.
Grace only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Anything outside of Christ is not the grace of God.
Everything in the world that we need to overcome, and everything God has called us to live out, comes through Jesus Christ. We cannot go from ourselves directly to the world and expect the fullness of God’s grace. We have to go through Christ.
In every thought pattern, in every action, in every word we speak, we have to see ourselves in Christ and through Christ.
If God is involved in the conversation, there is grace for the conversation. If God is involved in the decision, there is grace for the decision. If God is involved in the situation, there is grace for the situation.
When we go through Christ, every situation has an element of grace there for us to overcome it. There is always a way of escape.
So the question is, where are you standing? Are you standing in your own power, your own ability, and your own understanding? Or are you standing in the place of undeserved privilege that Christ has brought you into?
Here’s a challenge for you today: Before you try to handle the situation, go to Jesus first. Ask Him for wisdom, grace, and direction, and then move from that place.
