Matthew 8:26 (NLT)
Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.

Jesus got in the boat knowing the storm would come—and He still went.

Being in God’s will doesn’t mean you won’t face storms. It means you won’t face them alone.

The disciples panicked because they focused on the storm. Jesus rested because He trusted the Father. The difference wasn’t the situation—it was awareness of His presence.

Sometimes fear shows up when what’s happening around you feels bigger than what God has said. But faith reminds you that God is still in control, even when everything feels out of control.

And just as suddenly as the storm came…peace came.

Whatever “suddenly” hit your life, God can respond with His own “suddenly.” Stay anchored in His presence, and let Him speak peace over your situation.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What “storm” are you currently facing?
  1. Are you responding in fear or resting in the fact that God is with you?
