Prayer is Communication

Acts 6:4 NKJV

“But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Prayer is not just going to God when you have a problem. Prayer is communication.

It is your spirit talking to God, who is Spirit. It goes both ways. You talk to Him. You listen to what He is saying. You talk to Him again. That is relationship.

The way you really understand someone is through one-on-one conversation. God wants a relationship and a personal interaction with you.

You should be able to go to God yourself, talk to God, hear from God, and do exactly what He is telling you to do.

As you pray and talk to God, you start understanding the way He operates, and you want to know more. Prayer grows as you do it.

Never hold back from talking to God because you feel like you don’t know what to say or how to pray. God is not looking for your big words. He is looking at your heart posture.

Just go to God and talk to Him.

Here’s a challenge for you today:

Set aside a few minutes today with no agenda except to talk with God. Speak honestly, then be quiet long enough to listen. Let prayer be relationship, not just a list of needs.
