Mark 1:35 NKJV

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.”

Prayer is communication with God. It is talking to Him and listening to what He is saying.

Jesus got up before dawn and prayed. He talked to God about life before life influenced Him.

What if we did the same?

Before you say anything, talk to God first. Before you respond to that message, talk to God. Before you post something, ask the Lord. Before the day starts pulling on you from every direction, get the Father’s heart for the day.

Prayer is not just something we do after everything goes wrong. Prayer prepares our spirit to handle whatever comes.

Seeking God, getting His heart for the day, getting filled with peace, joy, and the light of the Gospel—and then going out and conquering the world.

Don’t try to conquer the world and then go to God when it all fails.

God will give you wisdom, discernment, and direction for the affairs of life every day.

Here’s a challenge for you today:

Before you respond, react, or make a decision today, pause and talk to God first. Give Him room to speak before life speaks for you.
