James 1:22 NKJV

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Studying is not just hearing. It’s also doing.

You can study what the Word says about healing, faith, sharing the Gospel, prayer, or any other subject—but at some point, you have to put it into practice.

You can know that the Great Commission is to go out and share the Gospel, but the first time you go out and you see people give their lives to Jesus… you saw something happen.

That is where what you studied becomes something you have experienced.

To comprehend what you’re studying, you put it into practice.

The Word is meant to change how we live.

When we study, we get grounded. When the circumstances of life come—because they will come, trials will come—you’re gonna be standing firm in the midst of the storm.

And if you feel like you have missed time or should know more by now, don’t get stuck there.

Just start.

God can restore and make up for lost time. You can begin today.

Here’s a challenge for you today:

Take one thing you already know the Word says and do it. Don’t only hear it, underline it, or talk about it. Put it into practice and let the Word become real in your life.
