Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

So many people are carrying things they were never meant to carry. Stress. Pressure. Worry. Fear. Trying to figure everything out on their own. But Jesus never asked us to carry the weight—He asked us to come to Him.

In the message, we saw that Jesus came riding on a donkey—a beast of burden. That’s a powerful picture.

When the King is in place, the burden is no longer on you. It’s under you.

Too many believers are still trying to carry what Jesus already paid for. They’re trying to manage things in their own strength, figure things out in their own understanding, and hold everything together themselves. But that’s not how this works.

When you yield your will to God, you also release the weight. You weren’t designed to carry it—you were designed to trust Him with it. That doesn’t mean life won’t have challenges. It means you’re not carrying them alone anymore.

The moment you truly surrender, there’s a shift:

  • pressure lifts
  • clarity comes
  • peace replaces striving

And you begin to walk differently. So today, instead of holding on tighter, do the opposite: Let it go.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What burden am I still trying to carry on my own instead of giving it to God?
  2. What would it look like for me to truly release that weight and trust Him with it today?
