Psalm 119:97 NKJV

“Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.”

Biblical meditation is not emptying your mind. It is filling your mind with the Word of God.

Meditation is “muttering and pondering what the Word of God says.” It is taking His Word and speaking it over your life until it becomes a living reality to you instead of what you see, think, feel, and smell.

The fruit of your life is based off of what you’re meditating on. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. What you keep thinking on and pondering in your heart is going to affect the direction of your life.

You can meditate on negative things, and eventually you start believing negative. Or you can meditate on the Word of God and allow His truth to become stronger than what you see and feel.

Biblical meditation fills the mind, gives you identity, and helps you detach from the world while becoming attached to God. You are releasing the emotions, the lies, the worry, the anxiety, and the accusations of the enemy, but you are replacing them with the Word.

You replace fear with faith. You replace the lie with truth.

Here’s a challenge for you today:

Pay attention to what you are allowing your mind to stay on. Choose one scripture today and keep bringing your thoughts back to it. Mutter it, ponder it, and let the Word become bigger in you than what you see or feel.
