John 12:24 (KJV) – “Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone…”

A seed cannot grow unless its outer shell breaks. Inside the seed is life but the outer shell must crack for growth to begin. In the same way,  your spirit is alive in Christ. But if the outer shell of pride, comfort, fear, or self-will stays intact, growth is limited. Discipleship requires death to self. When the shell breaks, roots grow deep. And when roots grow deep, storms cannot uproot you. The goal isn’t survival. The goal is fruit.

Reflection Questions:

• What outer shell might God be breaking in your life right now?

• Are you resisting the pressure — or trusting it?

• What would deeper roots look like in your walk with God?

• Where do you need to surrender control?
