Ecclesiastes 11:4 NLT
Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.”
If you wait for perfect conditions, you may never take the step.
Faith doesn’t wait.
That is simple, but it is powerful.
So many times God is speaking something to our hearts concerning life, calling, giftings, or ministry, but we wait because we want everything to make sense first.
We wait for the perfect time.
We wait until we feel ready.
We wait until we understand how it is all going to work.
But if you wait to take the step, the enemy will start working on you, and you may never step.
Your head gets in the way.
Thoughts get in the way.
Concerns get in the way.
Worry gets in the way.
Fear gets in the way.
What about this?
What about that?
When God is speaking, we need to take the initiating step.
God is right there with you.
Ecclesiastes says that farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.
That means there will always be a reason not to move.
There will always be a cloud you could stare at.
There will always be a circumstance that looks uncertain.
But faith is not based off understanding.
Faith is based off believing and trusting.
Understanding has limitations.
Trusting and believing have no limitation.
If you are trying to figure God out based only on what you know, you will be limiting yourself from all God has for you.
So today, stop waiting for perfect conditions.
Trust Him.
Take the step.
You do not have to know every detail.
You do not have to understand the whole path.
You just have to trust the One who is leading you.
Here’s a challenge for you today:
Ask yourself, “What step have I been delaying because I wanted everything to be perfect first?”
Then take one step of obedience.
Faith doesn’t wait.
Faith trusts God and moves.
