Ezekiel 34:11-12 NKJV
For thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.’
God does not leave His sheep scattered. He comes looking.
There are cloudy and dark days in life. There are days when people feel lost, broken, confused, overwhelmed, or far from where they know they should be. But the Good Shepherd is still seeking His sheep.
Even when you get off course, even when you miss it, even when you sin, God does not leave you.
We may feel distant, but it doesn’t mean God left us. He’s right there.
That is so important to remember.
Sometimes we feel far from God because of choices we have made, fear we have stayed in, or things we have carried that we were never meant to carry. But God is not the One who moved.
He is still there. He is still speaking. He is still calling. He is still saying, “Don’t run from Me. Come to Me. I love you.”
The enemy wants you to believe that if you have struggled, failed, or wandered, God is done with you. But that is not how God sees you.
God sees you. He loves you. He heals the brokenhearted. He sets the captives free.
The enemy comes to restrict, but God comes to free.
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. So if something feels lost, broken, or messed up, Jesus came to bring wholeness to it.
So today, if you feel distant from God, do not run farther. Turn around. The Shepherd is near.
Here’s a challenge for you today:
Ask the Lord, “Is there any area where I have drifted from You?”
Then simply come back.
Not with fear. Not with shame. Not trying to fix yourself first.
Come back with a surrendered heart.
God sees you. God loves you. And He is still calling you close.
