John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Peace is not something you chase—it’s something you receive.
Jesus didn’t promise a trouble-free life, but He did promise His peace in the middle of it. This peace is different from anything the world can offer. It’s not based on circumstances—it’s rooted in Him.
Because of the resurrection, you now have access to a peace that steadies you when everything around you feels unsettled.
The world looks for peace by trying to control situations.
But God’s peace comes from trusting the One who is in control.
Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
That shows us something important—peace is available, but we have a choice to make. As we keep our thoughts fixed on Jesus, His peace becomes our reality. When our focus shifts to fear, circumstances, or what we can’t control, we step away from that peace.
When you truly receive His peace and fix your mind on Him, you stop being led by fear. You’re not easily shaken, not because nothing is happening—but because you know God is with you and working on your behalf.
Peace isn’t the absence of problems.
It’s the presence of God in the middle of them.
