Renew Your Mind to What Is Already Yours

Romans 12:2 NLT
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”

The Kingdom of God lives in you.

When you got born again, your spirit came alive unto God. Your spirit was changed at conversion. Now your mind is being renewed to understand what is already in your spirit.

Renewing your mind is getting the worldly thoughts out of the way so you can truly see what the cross and resurrection have already done for you.

You are not trying to get God to do something new. You are learning to see what Jesus has already finished.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. When you hear the Word, your spirit grabs ahold of it, and then your body says, “Okay, let’s do this thing.”

That is how you grow spiritually. You begin to live more out of your spirit than out of the natural.

The Holy Spirit in you fully understands how to handle every situation. We may say in our mind, “I don’t understand,” but the Holy Spirit in us does understand. He knows how to lead us, guide us, correct us, and show us what to do.

We just have to learn to listen to what the Spirit is saying more than what our mind is trying to figure out.

Here’s your challenge today:
When something comes up today, don’t just react from your thoughts or emotions. Pause and ask, “Holy Spirit, what are You showing me?” Then choose to respond from the Word and from your spirit.
